Ideally positioned for touring the whole of Cornwall with a wealth of popular attractions within a short drive including The Eden Project the Tall Ships at Charlestown The Lost Gardens of Heligan and National Trust Lanhydrock House and Gardens. The property itself is within walking distance of the coast and within a three mile radius you can find a selection of beaches golf course swimming pool and a health club. Boat trips are also available from nearby Fowey and Mevagissey and provide some great family days out. Alternatively those slightly less adventurous can relax in the private enclosed garden and soak up with sea views the comfort of this friendly farm. The accommodation offers TWO bedrooms: 1 double and 1 twin both with en-suite shower room with WC. Lounge: beautifully light and airy room with coal effect electric fire and large flatscreen TV/DVD. Dining room: located on the first floor allowing for lovely sea views. Kitchen: also located on the first floor with electric oven and hob fridge/freezer microwave washing machine and dryer. Outside: large enclosed garden with sea views lawn garden furniture BBQ and walks leading to the coast. Amenities: ample private off-road parking. Bed linen towels electric electric heating and wi-fi included. 2 well-behaved dogs welcome. Regret no smoking. Additional info: private water supply. North Cornwall
Wilder and more rugged than the south of the county, North Cornwall is a land of
tall headlands, sandy beaches and empty moorland – yours to explore from one of
our holiday cottages in North Cornwall. The busy resort of Newquay is a major attraction,
with its glorious beaches and fantastic conditions for surfers. Nearby Perranporth
also boasts some fantastic beaches, perfect for sun-lovers. You’ll find many more
lovely beaches, like those at Bude for example, waiting for you on one of our North
Cornwall cottage holidays. This part of Cornwall has become a bit of a mecca for
food lovers too. Rick Stein has put Padstow on the map and more chefs, including
Jamie Oliver, are joining him, attracted by the quality of the ingredients available
locally. Then there is St. Ives, long a haunt of artists drawn here by the wonderful
light and inspiring scenery. A cottage holiday in North Cornwall puts you in touch
with history from ancient celtic times to the days of the smugglers. Tintagel Castle,
rumoured to be the birthplace of King Arthur, sits high on a cliff and still has
a strange air of mystery about it.
South Cornwall
Wonderful scenery, a mild climate, sparkling blue seas and charming seaside villages
make South Cornwall a firm favourite for cottage holidays whatever the season. And
we have a fabulous choice of holiday cottages in South Cornwall from which to make
the most of this lovely part of the country. The Cornish Riviera takes in some of
South Cornwall’s most popular resorts and many of our holiday cottages in South
Cornwall are located nearby. Picturesque Fowey is a haven for sailors, while the
Roseland Peninsula is a noted beauty spot. Mevagissey, St. Mawes and St. Just are
all well worth a visit. Not to be missed is the Eden Project, a fascinating recreation
of different biospheres, featuring a wide variety of exotic plantlife. You should
also make time for a trip to atmospheric St. Michael’s Mount and on to Land’s End,
the most westerly point in England. The county town of Truro has a lovely cathedral
and some excellent shopping opportunities, while Penzance is a bustling resort,
famed for its warm weather and sub-tropical plants. And do make sure you sample
the pasties, saffron cake and clotted cream – all local delicacies, – during your
cottage holiday.
